Polynucelotides

About

Polynucleotides are injectable skin boosters made from highly purified DNA fragments, usually sourced from salmon. They aid in skin repair by improving cell function and stimulating collagen and elastin production. This makes the skin look healthier, firmer, and more hydrated over time. Polynucleotides are especially useful for treating tired, thin, or ageing skin. highly effective in treating skin laxity, dullness, fine lines, and signs of photoageing, particularly in delicate areas.

How are polynucelotides different from Profhilo?

Both treatments improve skin quality, but they work in different ways.

How many sessions will I need?

A typical protocol includes 2 - 3 sessions spaced 3 - 4 weeks apart, depending on skin quality and the area being treated. Maintenance sessions every 6 months are recommended for ongoing skin support and long-term improvement.

When will I see results?

Improvements in skin tone, texture, and hydration typically begin to show within 2–3 weeks, but the full regenerative effects develop gradually over 4–8 weeks and continue to improve with repeated treatments.

Is there any downtime?

Downtime is minimal. Mild swelling, redness, or small bumps at the injection sites may occur and usually settle within 24 - 48 hours. Bruising is possible, particularly in delicate areas like under the eyes (can be covered with make up after 24 hours). Most patients return to normal activities the same day.
